What is it like to come home to bury your father? Jennifer Beam, an elementary school teacher in Omaha, and Paul Beam, an accountant in New York, come back to their home in a rural Iowa town. Hoping and expecting to take care of the arrangements in a few days, they find each other strangers, encounter neighbors that haven't forgotten them, discover boxes in the garage, and are surprised to find that there are still stories of their family waiting to be told.
